Farm life- what I do when I'm not creating!
My husband and I have lived on this 91 acre farm since 1998. Originally we thought we would try to revive the old apple orchard. But our new neighbors had 6 lambs on their new piece of property and we enjoyed their lamb in the fall. Then we went to New Zealand in April of 2001 for our 10th anniversary and the New Zealand Biennial Quilt Symposium. While in New Zealand We saw a farm show and decided to take the plunge into raising sheep and goats full time. We bought a guard donkey and then added chickens and the goose. It is now 10 years later and unfortunately we lost the goose to a member of the weasel family, but we still have all the other animals or their offspring.
In 2006 I started teaching gymnastics at Granite State Gymnastics and spend 5 days a week there. I teach at the gym from end of August to the 2nd week in June when I go to Maine to teach gymnastics at a girls camp.At that point Brandon is on his own and he does farmers markets in the summer and runs his web design business.Once I get home in August from camp,I start canning for the farmers markets and the canning will last till January.
